ENA’s Instructor Path is an instructor training program that includes online adult learning and instruction, live practice, mentorship, and monitored instruction. The path to becoming an instructor is complex and includes learning about different teaching strategies, understanding how people learn, and being familiar with various types of teaching media.

Learner Outcome: Upon completion of this course, the emergency nurse will have increased knowledge of adult learning and instruction. The next steps will be the live course, including lecture and skill practice, and then mentorship, and monitored instruction for preparation in becoming a ENPC Course Instructor.


ANCC Disclosure: The planners and presenters of this course have no conflicts of interest and there was no commercial support of this activity. The online portion of the course will provide 3.8 contact hours of CNE, upon complete review of course modules, successful completion of quiz, and submission of an evaluation. Course expires 10/2022.



The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The Emergency Nurses Association is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #2322.
