ENA's SBIRT: The SBIRT eLearning program consists of two-one hour modules and a video case study that lay the foundation for successful implementation of nurse-delivered ED SBIRT. The content and objectives of each learning module are tailored to two specific groups: 1) nursing staff who provide direct patient care and would implement SBIRT at the bedside; and 2) managers who are responsible for hospital policies and procedures and would facilitate implementation of SBIRT in the emergency department. Although each module stands on its own, viewing the program in its entirety will give you a more complete picture of the patient, staff and managerial aspects of successfully implementing ED SBIRT. The video case study also enhances your learning experience through the observation and analysis of SBIRT in action. Additionally, the program offers all of the tools and resources necessary to begin implementing SBIRT now, including materials for patient screening and education, staff competency assessment, and guidance to assist with billing and reimbursement.
